WE’VE OUTGROWN OUR SPACE!

It all began in the warmth of Rabbi Yitzchok and Rochel Wagner’s home, where Chabad of Richmond has welcomed community members with open arms—sharing Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, meaningful conversations, and heartfelt support.

We’ve been serving a growing community from a space designed for far fewer. Though our home radiates warmth and togetherness, it is no longer enough for our growing Jewish community. Richmond needs a welcoming, accessible place where people can gather to celebrate, learn, pray, and connect—especially during these challenging times when Jewish identity and unity are more important than ever.

We need a space where children can play, teens can grow, adults can study and engage, and every Jew in Richmond can feel they belong.

Now, we have an extraordinary opportunity: we are in contract for a 5,300+ Sqft building, centrally located at 2600 Macdonald Ave, in Richmond. With it, we can finally expand and create a permanent space, ready to serve every Jew in Richmond.

This new space would provide room for Shabbat dinners and High Holidays, with dedicated areas for youth programs, Torah classes, a cozy lounge, and a community library. It would be a warm, welcoming Jewish center for everyone—from toddlers to seniors.

We need to raise $540,000 by Jan 1st for the down payment and essential renovations to make this dream a reality.
